1. Acceptance

By accessing beacondirectories.com, including the business owner portal, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the site. The service is offered to users in the United States.

2. About This Site

Beacondirectories.com is operated by Beacon Directories, LLC. It serves as the parent site for the Beacon Directories network of online directories and hosts the owner portal where businesses create accounts, claim and manage their listings, and purchase paid listing plans. Individual sites in the network have their own separate terms and policies; inquiries submitted on those sites are processed on this platform.

3. Accounts and the Owner Portal

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it current.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
  • Accounts are for businesses (or their authorized representatives) managing listings in the network. You may only claim or manage a listing you are genuinely authorized to represent.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, misrepresent a business affiliation, or abuse the platform.

4. Listings, Claims, and Disputes

  • Directory listings may be created by us from publicly available information, submitted by businesses, or suggested by visitors. We may edit, decline, hide, or remove any listing at our discretion.
  • Claiming a listing requires verification (for example, a code sent to an address associated with the business, or a match between your account email and the business's on-file email or website domain). Misrepresenting your authority to claim a listing is prohibited.
  • If ownership of a listing is contested, we adjudicate disputes in good faith based on the evidence provided, and our determination is final.
  • By submitting content for a listing (descriptions, photos, business details), you grant Beacon Directories, LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the relevant network sites and in related promotion of them. You represent that you have the rights to the content you submit.

5. Paid Plans and Billing

  • Paid listing plans (upgraded visibility, placement, and profile features) are billed through our payment provider, Stripe, on the recurring interval shown at checkout.
  • Plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel billing from the portal; cancellation stops future renewals and paid features end at the close of the paid period. When a paid plan ends, the listing returns to the free tier and contact details are removed from its published description.
  • A cross-site bundle covers all listings grouped under one business: purchasing it applies paid placement to every listing in the group at once, and cancellation ends paid placement on all of them at the close of the paid period.
  • Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
  • We may change plan pricing or features prospectively; changes apply from your next renewal.
  • We may grant promotional or complimentary upgrades at our discretion and may end them at any time.

6. Inquiries and Leads

  • Visitor inquiries submitted on network sites are delivered to the business contacted once that business has claimed its listing — on any plan, including the free tier. Paid plans affect placement and visibility, not whether inquiries are delivered. We screen inquiries for spam but do not verify, endorse, or guarantee any inquiry's accuracy, seriousness, or outcome.
  • Inquiry volume varies and is not guaranteed at any plan level.
  • You may use inquiry contact details only to respond to that inquiry, and must handle them in accordance with applicable law.

7. Communications

We send transactional email related to your account, listings, and billing. We may also contact businesses about their listings (for example, to flag a waiting inquiry on an unclaimed listing) and send performance reports; these messages include unsubscribe options, and opt-outs are honored.

8. Nature of Content

  • Directory content is for general informational purposes only and is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any listing or other content, and we do not endorse any listed business.
  • Content may be updated or removed at any time without notice.

9. Intellectual Property

  • Site content, including text, logos, design, and layout, is owned by Beacon Directories, LLC or its licensors.
  • "Beacon Directories" and related marks are property of Beacon Directories, LLC.
  • You receive a limited license to view the site for personal, non-commercial use (and, for account holders, to manage your own listings).
  • No scraping, automated collection, republication, or redistribution is permitted without written permission.

10. Prohibited Conduct

Users may not:

  • Scrape or use automated tools to extract content from this site.
  • Submit false, deceptive, or spam inquiries, listings, or claims.
  • Claim or attempt to manage a listing without authority to represent that business.
  • Impersonate Beacon Directories, LLC or any affiliated site.
  • Interfere with the site's operation or security.
  • Use the site for any unlawful purpose.

11. Third-Party Links

This site links to directories and other sites in the Beacon Directories network, as well as external websites. Each linked site has its own terms, privacy policies, and operator obligations. Beacon Directories, LLC is not responsible for third-party content beyond the Beacon Directories network.

12. Disclaimers

This site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Beacon Directories, LLC makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the site, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Beacon Directories, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of this site.
  • Our aggregate liability for any claim related to this site is limited to the greater of one hundred dollars ($100) or the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
  • These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory asserted.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Nebraska.

15. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the site after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
